Every SeaPrep unit carries a one-year warranty from the date it is delivered to you.
What it covers
Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, as described in the documentation shipped with the unit: dosing, mixing, salinity measurement and closed-loop correction, the safety interlocks, the built-in RO/DI stage, the Ready output and Deliver Request input, and the electronics and enclosure.
First-batch units
If a Founder Edition unit has a serious quality problem within the warranty period, we will replace it or refund it. That is a commitment we made when we decided to sell the first batch before the product had a long field history.
A serious quality problem means the unit cannot prepare an accepted batch, or cannot do so safely, and a repair or a firmware update does not resolve it. We will tell you which remedy we are offering and why; if you think the other one is right, say so and we will discuss it.
What it does not cover
- Consumables: filter cartridges, silicone tubing, and the salt itself.
- Damage from modification of the internal water circuit, or from driving the unit’s actuators outside its own safety logic.
- Damage from freezing, impact, flooding of the electronics, or supply outside the rated 24 V input.
- Results that depend on a salt not on the published compatibility list.
How to claim
Write to support@aqua.eco with your serial number and what you are seeing. Most problems are diagnosed remotely from the unit’s own logs — that is what the log authorisation is for, and it is usually faster than anything else. If a unit has to come back to us, we arrange the shipping and tell you in writing who pays for it before anything moves.
What this warranty is limited to
Our responsibility under this warranty is to repair, replace or refund the unit, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to what you paid for it.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — livestock, plants, corals, other equipment, water damage, or lost time — arising from the use of, or the inability to use, a SeaPrep unit. SeaPrep prepares seawater; it does not monitor your tank, and it is not a substitute for the alarms, sensors and habits that a reef tank needs anyway.
Nothing in this paragraph limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces the rights you have under the consumer law that applies where you live. Where that law gives you more than this warranty does, it is the law that applies.
