Questions and support
What people ask before ordering, answered plainly.
Does SeaPrep replace my mixing barrel?
Yes. SeaPrep stores dry salt and prepares seawater one batch at a time, so there is no need to keep a barrel of mixed saltwater standing in the room.
It is not a stirring station bolted onto a barrel. The salt goes in dry, and each batch is dosed, mixed, measured and corrected before it is released.
How much seawater does the unit hold?
None, by design. 20 L and 85 L are working chamber volumes — the size of one batch — not stored seawater.
Seawater is prepared when you ask for it. One salt load covers many batches: approximately 240 L on the 20 L, over 1,000 L on the 85 L Pro.
Which sea salts can I use?
The salts on our compatibility list. We do not claim compatibility with every sea salt on the market, and we publish the list rather than a general statement.
A salt is listed as verified only after at least three complete batches. Salts under test and salts customers have asked us to add are listed too, with their state shown.
Do I have to weigh the salt?
No. The salt is loaded once and dosed automatically for each batch. Each verified salt has its own dosing profile, which is part of what verification establishes.
Can it do automatic water changes on its own?
SeaPrep prepares seawater and signals when a batch is ready. Orchestrating a water change — deciding when, and moving the water — is what YuzhaLink does.
The boundary is deliberate and it is an interface: SeaPrep exposes a Ready output and accepts a Deliver Request input. Water is delivered only when Ready, Deliver Request and the local safety permit all agree.
When does it ship?
Founder Edition units ship in December 2026. Every order is tied to a production batch and its shipping window, and if a window moves we change it here rather than leaving the original date up.
Can I order from outside the United States?
The United States is served at full price, DDP, through this site. Mainland China is served through our Taobao store at a separate price.
Everywhere else: join the global waitlist and we will contact you when your region opens. Dealers and service partners can apply separately.
What makes the Founder Edition different?
It is the first production batch, limited to 50 units across all channels, at a lower price than the eventual list price.
Founder buyers are early users: we ask for feedback, and the unit carries the same warranty as a later one.
Are the published specifications final?
Some are. Each figure on a product page carries its own state, and anything still in validation is labelled "subject to final testing" where it is shown.
We would rather publish a figure with its caveat than hold the page back or quote a number we cannot yet stand behind.
