These terms apply to Founder Edition orders placed on aqua.eco. Orders placed through our Taobao store are governed by that store’s terms and by Taobao’s own rules.
Where you can order
- United States: full payment through this site.
- Mainland China: full payment through our Taobao store, at a separate price.
- Everywhere else: the global waitlist and dealer applications are open; we are not taking payment in the first phase.
This site is the single source of truth for product information, the number of units available, and what remains. Where another page anywhere disagrees with this one, this one is correct.
What the Founder Edition is
The first production batch: 50 units in total across every channel, 40 of the 20 L and 10 of the 85 L Pro. The allocation is shared — a unit sold on Taobao is one fewer here. Once they are gone there are no more at this price.
Payment and price
Payment is taken in full when you order. United States orders are shipped DDP: AquaEco handles customs clearance and pays import duties and taxes. Shipping is listed separately and is not included in the unit price.
Delivery
The target window is two to four weeks from payment, and every order is bound to a real production batch and to that batch’s window. You are told which batch yours is.
If we exceed the window we committed to you, the choice is yours: keep waiting, or take a full refund. We will write to you before the window closes, not after. That applies however the delay arose — including causes outside our control, which on a first production batch is most of them.
What we are and are not claiming
Several published specifications are still in validation. Every one of them says so on the page where it appears, with the conditions it was measured under. We would rather publish a figure with its caveat than quote a number we cannot yet stand behind.
Salt compatibility is a named list, published and kept current. We do not claim compatibility with every sea salt, and a salt is listed as verified only after at least three complete batches.
The unit’s wireless module and its external 24 V power supply carry their own certifications. That is not the same as the complete SeaPrep unit holding every certification for every market, and we do not present it as such. The first phase ships to the United States and mainland China only.
What the Founder Edition does not include
- SeaPrep does not drain old water and does not perform a complete water change on its own. It prepares seawater; YuzhaLink orchestrates the change.
- SeaPrep does not let an external controller drive its pumps or valves directly, and no interface bypasses its local safety logic.
- SeaPrep is not compatible with every sea salt. The compatibility list is the claim.
- We do not guarantee salt storage performance over many months unconditionally.
- SeaPrep does not perform full water-quality acceptance. It does not measure pH, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium or contaminants — it measures and controls salinity.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A change never applies backwards to an order that has already been placed — your order is governed by the terms that were on this page when you placed it, and we keep a record of what those were.
